Gray Dining Room With White Wainscoting — Ooltewah, TN

In this Ooltewah dining room, tall flat-panel wainscoting is painted a clean white beneath light gray walls, and white crown molding finishes the top edge. The gray wraps the corner by the shuttered window and continues behind the sideboard, giving a calm backdrop to the crystal chandelier and framed art.

That same soft gray carries into the vaulted living room, where white trim follows the slope of the ceiling and the tall wall holds a pair of large canvases between iron sconces. In the kitchen, we painted the pantry door and its wide craftsman-style casing in white. It is a restrained interior painting project that depends on precise lines between gray walls and white trim.
