Pale Mint Walls and Smoothed Ceilings — Chattanooga, TN

Pale mint green now runs through the main rooms of this Chattanooga home: the long living room, a dining room with a raised ceiling section and chandelier, a breakfast nook finished with a white chair rail, the bedrooms and a bathroom. White crown molding, baseboards and window casings keep the soft color crisp against the dark wood floors.

Most of the effort went in before any color did. Our crew covered the floors with plastic sheeting and paper, set up rolling scaffolds and scraped the old textured finish off the ceilings while working in protective suits and respirators. Sample patches were brushed onto the original tan walls for comparison. The finished interior painting reads as one consistent house, with smooth ceilings above evenly painted walls and trim.
