Greige Bedrooms, Bath & Entry Hall — Hixson, TN

In this Hixson home, a single soft greige ties several rooms together. The guest bedroom with its tall four-poster bed moved away from a warmer beige, and the cooler, quieter tone lets the dark wood and white trim stand out. Upstairs, a bedroom with a steep vaulted ceiling carries the same color up the long sloped walls, with the ceiling kept bright white so the room still feels open and tall.

The work continued into the vanity bathroom, the separate toilet room and the front entry beside the double glass doors. Throughout, we finished the crown molding, the wide door casings, the baseboards and the interior doors in white, keeping lines straight where the wall color meets the trim. An antique oak cabinet in the entry now sits against a smooth, even wall, which is the kind of quiet backdrop good furniture deserves.
