Tan Siding, White Screened Porch Trim — Signal Mountain, TN

The back of this two-story home on Signal Mountain is mostly siding, and we gave it a warm tan body with bright white casings around every window, the bay window and the rear door. The long screened porch got the most detail: its white frame, the tan inset panels below the screens and the white railing that runs along the open deck.

The open deck boards beside the porch were coated in a soft greige that sits quietly between the tan and the white. A weathered back entry door, peeling and stained in the before photo, was prepped and repainted in a matching tan with white casing, and now sits neatly against the red brick. Around the front, white window trim, columns and dormers on the brick colonial carry the same white, so the house reads as one consistent palette.
