Navy Shiplap, Olive Fireplace & Sage Bedrooms — Soddy-Daisy, TN

New construction leaves nowhere to hide, so every line has to be clean. In this Soddy-Daisy home we painted the full interior: warm greige walls through the living areas and hallways, crisp white crown molding, casings and two-panel doors, and flat white ceilings, including the vaulted great room. Two features carry the stronger color. A bedroom shiplap wall went deep navy, window box included, and the tall shiplap fireplace surround took a muted olive that sits easily beside the light brick and cedar mantel.

The bedrooms each have their own tone, one in full navy, one in soft sage green with a matching closet, the rest in warm greige. Our process photos show the prep behind those sharp edges: drop cloths over carpet and stair treads, taped baseboards, and a wrapped handrail before the stairwell walls were rolled.
