Navy Bedroom With White Grid Paneling — Chattanooga, TN

The centerpiece of this Chattanooga interior painting project is the primary bedroom. Three walls now wear a deep, slightly smoky navy, and the wall behind the bed carries a full grid of applied panel molding that we finished in crisp white from baseboard to crown. Above, the tray ceiling stays light, so the dark walls feel rich rather than heavy, and the white door casings and crown molding draw clean lines around the room.

Elsewhere in the house the palette softens. The hall bath with its white subway-tile shower sits in a quiet light gray under white crown. A second bath takes a warm tan, the long hallway a gentle greige, and the vaulted home office and a vaulted sitting room keep pale walls that rise to bright white sloped ceilings. Five-panel doors and trim throughout were finished in white.
